My hp pavilion s5-1010 start button stopped working, so I left the computer on, I was in the middle of a project and am not a tech geek. I bought a backup hp slimline 260-a011 as a stand by for the time when the electricity got interupted and couldn't start this pavilion...it happened the other day...tried to restart it, just wouldn't, so I pulled out the pavilion hard drive and installed it in my 260. It won't boot up...went through the tests, it passed them, but I cannot locate a optime program on it...how do I get this to boot up? I need to get back to work

hi
The best thing to do in this case is to use the new computer, with its hard disk.
Then you connect the other hard disk, with a usb adapter, if you can't have two hard disks in the computer..
you recover your personal files, moving them to the new one if there is enough space!
Then you can format the old hdd, in order to use it as a secondary backup disk
