OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an OMEN 30L Desktop, for which I downloaded from the official HP website and attempted to install the most recent BIOS. I was watching the installation process and it appeared to suddenly stop around 25% before the screen turned black. Afterwards my system's BIOS became corrupted, with the system prompting:

"BIOS corruption has been detected. BIOS recovery will begin automatically when you restart your PC."

However, after this prompt and the computer attempts to restart, I get the following message:

"The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted.

Using another computer and a USB flash drive, download the latest BIOS file from the HP website and create a BIOS USB recovery drive for the PC that needs recovery.

Insert the BIOS USB recovery drive into the PC that needs recovery and restart the PC."

I downloaded the latest BIOS file (the same one that I initially tried to install) and followed the prompts to create a recovery USB flash drive. I took that USB drive, placed it in a USB port on the affected PC, and powered on the PC. However, the system keeps cycling between the "BIOS corruption has been detected" and the "BIOS recovery files cannot be found" screens. The system does not appear to attempt to load from the USB flash drive at any point.

I've attempted inserting the drive into other USB ports, holding Win + B while powering on, and reinstalling the BIOS on the flash drive; all of which yield the same results.

Could anyone please help me with how to get my BIOS repaired?

My apologies if this is not the correct board/forum for this type of issue. Please let me know which would be more appropriate and I'll update the post accordingly.

Any help with this is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Greetings @MarlonSoGood

Welcome to the HP Forum.

BIOS recovery options using a USB BIOS recovery drive are available Here.

Scroll down to "Recover the BIOS using a USB recovery drive'.

You might need to have a local PC Tech flash the BIOS using a Serial ISP Programmer if you cannot recover the BIOS using the USB BIOS recovery drive.
