The computer takes about 10 to 15 minutes to boot. The drive light just flashes on and off as if it is trying to connect. Once it connects the booting is fast.
I am using an SSD and have reset the BIOS to default. Not sure if some BIOS setting is wrong. Could not find a location to indicate what the settings should be.
I have reinstalled Windows 10, in hopes that that was the problem, but alas no change in the starting process.

Thanks for the replay.
It takes about the same amount of time. I have uiplugged everything (usb), and the same issue. When it ends up booting everything works fine. I am just leaving the computer on at the moment.
I did notice that Windows created a drive 😧 all on its own, but that disappeared when I did a reinstall of windows 10 over itself to retain files and apps.

@DocBurns -- Windows records "events" as it is running. For example, reading a scratched-up CD-ROM can record many events -- keeping the disk-drive up to 100% busy while it retries-and-retries to read the media.
When the disk-drive is that busy, the computer does not immediately react to inputs (moving the mouse-pointer, keyboard presses). Use the Windows "Event Viewer" to view the events. From a command-line prompt, enter the EVENTVWR command, and browse the various log-files.
