HP Compaq Elite 8300 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'd like change the BOOT order from CD/DVD to USB.

So far my attempt was to shut down then powered up the PC and at the HP welcome screen started tapping the ESC key and the PC booted normally instead of getting  the boot menu.

Should I do the procedure strictly using the RESTART option?

Thank you

This model I do not have but reading I see that the function key F10 is the one to use.

To boot the USB you may need to select LEGACY boot and disable SECURE boot.  Possibly HP has set the system to UEFI and SECURE.

Make a note of any BIOS changes you make so they can be reversed afterwwards.

Using F-10 was successful. Selected Legagacy Boot Sources/USB. That was that. Thank you
