Hi @CSDeepakRai,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP 14 Inch Laptop. When a laptop fails to switch on, there could be various reasons for the problem. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to try and identify the cause.
- Check the power source: Make sure your laptop is connected to a working power outlet or that the battery has enough charge. If you are using the battery, try connecting the laptop to a power outlet to see if it turns on.
- Verify the power indicator: Look for any lights or indicators on your laptop that show if it is receiving power. If there's no indication of power, the issue could be related to the power supply or battery.
- Reset the laptop: Sometimes, laptops can get stuck in a power loop. To reset it, remove the battery (if possible) and unplug the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Then, reconnect the power adapter (if you removed the battery) and try turning it on again.
- Test with another power adapter: If you have access to another compatible power adapter, try using it to rule out any issues with the original adapter.
- Check for physical damage: Inspect the power cord, power adapter, and any connection points for any visible damage. If you find any damage, you may need to replace the faulty components.
- Perform a hard reset: If your laptop has a non-removable battery, you can perform a hard reset by pressing and holding the power button for around 15-20 seconds. Then try turning it on again.
- External display test: Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using the appropriate cable (HDMI, VGA, etc.), and try turning it on while the external display is active. If you see the display on the external monitor but not on your laptop screen, there might be an issue with the laptop's display.
- Memory (RAM) reseating: If you're comfortable with hardware, try reseating the laptop's memory modules (RAM). Turn off the laptop, remove the battery and power adapter, then open the memory compartment and carefully remove and reinsert the RAM modules.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
