PH 290-p0046 Slim Desktop unit just turn off and cannot get it back on.   For the last few months whenever it was turned off, you had to unplug it from power source and then plug it back in.  It would then boot up and work fine.  Then today it just won't turn back on.

Hi @cjs41,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I’m sorry to hear that your HP 290-p0046 Slim Desktop unit won’t turn on. Based on the information you provided, it seems like there could be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Check the power source: Ensure that the power cord is plugged in securely and that the outlet is working correctly. You can try plugging in another device to the same outlet to check if it’s working.

  2. Perform a hard reset: Disconnect everything from the computer, including the power cord. With the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the front of the computer. Plug in the power cord to see if the computer automatically turns on .

  3. Check the power supply: If the power supply light does not turn on or the power supply fan does not spin, it could be an issue with the power supply.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
