HP Pavilion Elite HPE-130f
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Everytime my desktop boots, POST shows a message:

Unknown BIOS Error. Error Code = 8302
Press <F2> to Continue

I've searched for any hint on what this error code means, but no luck. Some suggest reflashing or updating the BIOS, But I'm not able to find the original ROM image or an updated one.

I have tried a CMOS reset, but that just put things back to factory settings.

Hitting F2 does allow it to boot, but I shouldn't have to do that

Any help is appreciated

Thanks anyway. I kind of figured that it might be time for a new one.

Not sure I can truly accept that as a "solution", but I'll click the button anyway to warn other users to give up on their old friends.
