Product: HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-eh1000 (2H5A6AV)

So when I power on it loads but it's says after with a black screen unknown hard error and it's by ctfmon.exe  what do I do?

Hi @Nate107 

 

Enter command prompt in "Search". Right-click on the appropriate search result. Select "run as administrator".

 

Run the following commands at an administrative command prompt to fix and check system files if Windows loads correctly. It sounds like Windows loads from your description.

 

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

 

Upon completion, then run

 

sfc /scannow

 

This should fix this problem.
