Product: HP Pavillion Desktop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My desktop did an upgrade but failed. A black screen with wording "ERROR: No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed.' A Microsoft agent wasn't unable to help me however i had Windows 10 on a USB stick so I was able to recover. the issue now is the PC will not upgrade and i have been told by another Microsoft agent that the issue is with the BIOS chip and it needs to be upgraded by HP. Is this correct?
