I tried to logged in to my HP Pavilion desktop today after having been out of town for a few days. I immediately got the common error message after I typed in my password..." User Profile Service Service Failed the log on. User Profile cannot be loaded". The password is for sure correct, and so I went on line to find a solution. None of the suggestions work. We only have ONE log in for this computer, so cannot log in as another person to delete or reformat the user that is causing this issue. Rebooting and unplugging power source failed. Rebooting and hitting f8 does not work. I BELIEVE my wireless MIcrosoft comfort keyboard 5050 was never programmed with standard/common "functions". At least that's my conclusion as to why f8 is not working. There is not a way to get to a "start menu" to get in to safe mode and apply all the suggestions I am seeing out there. We have not done any updates to this computer/system. I am running Windows 7. Are there any other suggestions to be able to log back in to this computer? I'm lost and don't know what else to do.

I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to DavidPK, who had this link listed in a similar issue posted 4/11/2016. I had decided to try the f8 key for the tenth time after having the computer off and unpluged for about 2 hours. By the grace of God, I was able to put the computer in to Safe Mode. THEN I followed David's link above, and it worked!!! Thank you again. I was feeling hopeless and you totally saved me. My hero! God Bless you my friend.
