Hello,

My all-in-one has stuck at HP BIOS UPDATE FAILED SCREEN and went to loop. I'm not able to access bios to run recovery mode. I tried every key combination like ESC, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12, Delete, Sht+fn+F10 etc and nothing works, it still reload after 15 seconds. Does anyone know what else I can do to access BIOS menu please? Thank you in advance

Hi @AgaAga1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP all-in-one computer is stuck at the "HP BIOS UPDATE FAILED" screen and you're unable to access the BIOS or boot into recovery mode, you may need to perform a more advanced troubleshooting procedure to resolve this issue. Here are some steps you can try:

Clear CMOS/BIOS Settings:

  • Unplug the computer from the power source.
  • Open the computer case (if it's a desktop) or access the internals (if possible).
  • Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (it's a round, silver coin-cell battery).
  • Remove the CMOS battery and wait for a few minutes (usually 5-10 minutes).
  • Reinsert the CMOS battery and close the computer case.
  • Plug the computer back in and turn it on.

Recovery USB/CD: If you have a Windows installation USB or CD, you can try booting from it to access recovery options. Follow these steps:

  • Insert the Windows installation media.
  • Boot the computer and try to access the boot menu. Typically, this is done by pressing a key like F12 or ESC during startup.
  • Select the USB or CD drive from the boot menu to boot from the installation media.
  • Once you boot from the installation media, you may have access to repair and recovery options.

Use an External Keyboard: Sometimes, built-in keyboards can have issues. Try connecting an external USB keyboard to see if it allows you to access the BIOS or boot menu.

Consult the User Manual: Review the user manual or documentation for your HP all-in-one computer model. It may contain specific instructions for accessing the BIOS or performing recovery actions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
