I need to fix a corrupted BIOS, but the HP website says there are no software or drivers available for my product.

There are 4 possible bios but I have no idea which one will work

Try the win-b tool to recover the previous bios

HP support video for bios recovery

Click here to see how to recover your BIOS.
Do 1, 2, and the first part of 3.
For the second part of 3 you will need a USB flash drive and possibly an
older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem. Make sure the USB flash had LED lights.

For laptops, step 2 'CMOS reset' there is no CMOS battery nor CMOS switch and no need to open the laptop. Use the Windows key + 'v' as explained here.

To install from USB.
When you power up your system the LEDs on the flash drive should flash once at the instant power is applied. They will then flash about three to five seconds later (hopefully). When they flash a second time that means the files are being read from the flash drive. If you never see it flash a second time then the boot loader is damaged and you cannot recover the bios unless you use a programming tool or replace the chip. You hold down the Windows key + B key when powering up with the USB flash inserted.

Hi, @sssl

Your PC comes with a Trout motherboard which as a BIOS SSID of 87A4.

Below is the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for it

Thank you Paul for taking the time to reply to my question. Unfortunately, that BIOS file installs through Windows, which I can’t access. It’s interesting that HP does not provide any drivers for my computer. It cost me $230 to get someone to reset my PC. I will consider another brand for my home computer and for the company I’m purchasing for, as I am disappointed with HP.

You're very welcome.

You can run the file on another PC and make a BIOS USB recovery drive.

The is link explains how to create a BIOS recovery flash drive.

I've already provided the BIOS file you need.

Here is how to use the BIOS recovery flash drive after it has been successfully created:

After you create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.

1. Power off the device to be recovered.

2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.

3. Power on the device.

4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.

Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.
