HP Pavilion 595-p0084

HP Desktop tower light went off and when I try to turn back on it lights up and fan starts but then turns back off after just a couple of seconds.

HP desktop tower light flickers on, the fan starts, then immediately shuts off after a few seconds, it usually indicates a problem with the power supply unit (PSU), which is most likely failing and can't deliver enough power to keep the computer running properly. 
 

Here are a few things you can try:
 

  • Check connections:

Open the computer case and ensure all power cables are securely connected to the motherboard and power supply. 
 

  • Clean the computer:

Dust buildup can affect cooling and potentially cause power issues, so clean the inside of your computer thoroughly with compressed air. 
 

  • Test with a different power outlet:

Try plugging the computer into a different wall outlet to rule out a power issue with the current one.
