Windows 10 does not launch, error message says in red secure boot violation, invalid signature
03-04-2021 06:19 PM

When I turn on the computer the hp symbol comes up, then a message in red..secure boot violation, invalid signature detected, check secure boot policy in set up. When I press ok it goes to a blue message..boot device not found, install an operating system on your hard disk (3FO)
I have followed several procedures but nothing is working, hard drive quick test, system quick test, all have passed. Legacy boot sources is disabled, have unplugged the power cord, taken the computer apart and unplugged the cables on the inside and plugged back in. I can go into f2 and f10 but I can’t go into f11 to do a windows recovery. Please help if you can. Is there a live version of support because the virtual did not help at all. Thank you

Hi,
I can only guess something is amiss on the boot HDD if HP hardware tests have passed and you see the boot device not found error. You could have a hardware problem not detected by running quick diagnostic tests. Could be malware.
I would run full component tests to check hardware.
Try resetting the BIOS to defaults. Did you add any new hardware? Graphics card upgrades can cause boot problems.
You can disable Secure boot and enable Legacy support in the BIOS if you have upgraded hardware. See this site (Link). But I would not do this if your problem relates to malware on the boot drive.
Regards
