Hello,
I have an HP Z4 G5 workstation in which I enabled Wake-on-LAN (WoL). However, it only works if I first power on the system manually, then power it off. After that, I can turn it on again using WoL. However, if the system remains off for more than 10 hours, WoL stops working, and I am unable to power it on remotely.
I thought configuring a static IP address for my NIC might help. Under UEFI Drivers, there is a section for Network Devices where IP addresses and related settings can be configured. After setting up the configuration and restarting the system, the entire Network Devices section (in UEFI) disappeared!
I contacted HP support, but they were not very helpful. They only asked me to send photos and videos, and despite my efforts, I have not received any further assistance.
As a workaround, I scheduled the system to power on every day at 8 AM. It works sometimes, but on some days, the system does not turn on at all, making the solution completely unreliable.
If you have any insights into what might be causing these issues, I would greatly appreciate your help.
As you can see the section is completely empty!
