Hi @blfarrell
I wish I could provide more agreeable information but your BIOS recovery options are limited. HP is not offering any BIOS updates at the appropriate support site for this PC.
I would contact HP Support for assistance.
Your PC has the MonkD MB. Windows Update has been pushing an incorrect HP BIOS update intended for the MonkP MB.
Check this HP Forum thread for a similar situation. I have no idea if this problem was solved; no subsequent feedback was provided by the author.
Opinions or troubleshooting suggestions in this response are provided independently. I am not employed by: HP, Inc. or the HP Forum.
Regards

Thanks for your response! Prior to this, I had issues with BIOS updates failing from Support Assistant so I had downloaded F.45 to flash previously. I stuck that in and it booted, flashed and loaded Windows. Crazy thing is, upon checking, the BIOS is now F.50 which I assume came from the firmware update that had me hung (HP Inc. - Firmware - 15.50.0.0). There is no way F.50 would have been on the flash. Confused as to why that worked but it did but am half afraid to reboot now.

Hi @blfarrell
My pleasure.
The PC is working correctly again. How did you solve the problem?
This would be good to know to help other forum users that have the MonkD MB.
Regards.
