Hi,

I saw several question raised regarding users not being able to access the bios irrespective of pressing the "ESC" key in new Z2 G9 Mini workstation. This display is also not available when these keys are pressed. I am sharing a solution that is purely software solution on windows 11.

1. In windows go to https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HP_BCU.html and download the service pack. Remember the path defined while installation.

2. In the installation path run this command;

.\BiosConfigUtility64.exe /get:my-settings.txt

Now open the my-settings.txt in notepad.

Goto following lines;

VGA Boot Device
*Nvidia VGA Controller (Slot 5)
Intel VGA Controller (Integrated)

Now swap the selection to Intel VGA Controller (Integrated) and save the file and run the following command.

BiosConfigUtility64.exe /set:my-settings.txt

It is also recommended to disable fast boot too in lines before you set;

Fast Boot
*Disable
Enable

Now restart and press ESC key. It should work.
