HP ZBook Fury G1i 16 inch Mobile Workstation PC (B14E8AV)

Recently, 14 HP ZBook Fury G1i 16" Mobile Workstations were deployed with HP Thunderbolt 4 Ultra 280W G6 Docks. Several users are reporting lags when using Excel and I have experienced this problem myself. Others report it randomly shutting down or restarting as well as explorer.exe crashing. One user even had their laptop screen and camera stop working during a Teams call. These devices were all setup the same way and are fully up to date with updates and firmware. Are there any suggestions on how to address these issues? They have occurred within a month of each user having the device and continue.

Our org has not had very good luck with the last few HP ZBook Fury notebook models and the HP docking stations/monitors.  The performance and reliability issues for a device in the premium tier is really disappointing.

 

For the Excel lag, you might look at your EDR/anti-malware software and make sure the version isn't an older one.  We've had success with gains there and with ensuring the BIOS version is the latest.
