Power light on brick stays lit, hard drive doesnt even try to spin up. Open the Start menu, search for Command Prompt, and select it.
Type the following command: msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
Press Enter. This will launch the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
Click Next and run the wizard through. The tool will automatically detect issues and then repair them.

Peter

If your TouchSmart 15 won't turn on, your battery may be the cause. Your battery could be broken beyond repair causing your TouchSmart to not turn on. One way to check is to remove the battery (guide to removing the battery can be found here) and then try to turn on your TouchSmart with the charger plugged in.

John
