Which adapter?

Has your computer ever worked? Is this a "new" condition?

Have you changed any hardware?

What external devices are connected to your computer?  Disconnect all the external devices (USB memory-stick, web-camera, printer, Ethernet cable, et cetera) to leave only the keyboard & mouse & power & monitor connected.  Do you still get the same message?
