i installed windows 7 with no issues but when i get to the second phase of the setup when it restarts it shows a blue screen for one second then restarts. my hp stream - 11-ak1012dx laptop has legacy boot mode with the insydeH20 rev. 5.0.

i been trying and trying and i don't know what's causing the BSOD finding a solution to get to the second phase of the setup would be very helpful. please help me find a solution to get to the second phase and finally install windows 7. pls pls pls

in bios i don't have sata mode and just have only legacy support in the bios that get's to the startup screen then the BSOD shows the 0x0000007B error. how can i check if my hardware can run windows 7 because it had csm/legacy support in the bios and was capable of running windows 7.i booted from my dvd to 7 setup to repair then went to startup repair but it said that startup repair couldn't repair your pc.then i went to command prompt and typed chkdsk f/ but it said the type of the file system is NTFS Cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected.i'm so close to installing win 7 but i get a blue screen on startup. i don't have sata mode in my bios. pls pls pls more suggestions

From the little research I did in Google, and I am no expert.......

STOP 0x0000007B errors are caused by device driver  issues (especially those related to hard drive  and other storage controllers), viruses, data corruption, and sometimes even hardware  failures.

My guess because your model lists as a Windows 10 device, you do not have driver support for Windows 7.
