boot cd won't work...can't change bios at startup after trying all F1-10 and Control Alt S         worked somehow in the past and was able to get to the boot bios at startup

the requested product number must look like this
Product Number: 9EE50AA # ABA
the model corresponding to this number will therefore be
HP Desktop - M01-F1033wb

Give the full version of windows

for windows 10 type winver in the search box
if you give the best information
your problem could have a solution more quickly (depending on the difficulty, of course)

I can not read the product number even using a magnifying glass....

It is an HP Pavillion Windows 7.

I appreciate your response as I've tried each F# plus more things that I read on line.

It did boot once a long time ago using the windows 7 CD that was purchased but not this time.

So you had already done what is recommended, probably to install windows 7?
What do you want to do now finally?

 

shut down the computer completely
restart with the cd in the drive, and immediately hit the escape key
do you have the menu as mentioned here?

Appreciate your trying....thanks so much!

Didn't work, (the escape pressing at second intervals) at startup) tried over 5 times.

Also tried some of the other Fs with the seconds pressing...

Had held and also tried one press on all of the others.

Have spent hours on this as you are spending lots of time.
