I have an old HP 8200 Elite Bios 2.33 ( I think) I switched my SSD system drive to SATA3 and set the boot order in the BIOS. When I re-start or re-boot the boot order is changed and it will not boot . I have two other drives installed.

Hi:
Plug the SATA data cable from your SSD to SATA Port 0.
That is the port you boot the main drive from.
If you have a 3.5" drive plugged into the SATA 0 port, move the data connector to SATA port 1.
SATA 1 is for a secondary drive and SATA 2 is for the DVD.
SATA 3 is for a third hard drive or second optical drive.

Thanks, Paul, So simple I had the SSD in Esata which I mistook for SATA3 . I'm a bit dyslexic. It was working previously but I was only getting 134.17 MB/s read speed so tried a few changes. Now it's much improved. Now I'm getting 500 MB/s which is the spec for this Kingston drive. I'm going to check my main computer now which is a no-name. Thanks again.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
I have two HP 8200 Elite CMT's running with i7-2600 processors, 32 GB of memory, SATA SSD's and Windows 11 Pro.
They still work very nicely.
The only thing I don't like is they only have USB 2 ports.
