i have an elitedesk.

i tried leaving the bios chip out for a few minutes, and the password was still on.

Sorry to hear you have a BIOS password problem.

 

This Forum can't assist with password issues.

The BIOS password, if there is one, is embedded into the firmware of the motherboard.  Removing any CMOS battery or any chips will not affect that.  Since each BIOS password is unique, there is no way anyone can help you with this -- and no way to reset it -- without knowing it in the first place.
