Hi @GreenGran,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you want to disable the sign-in PIN on an HP desktop running Windows, you can follow these steps.
Open Settings:
- Click on the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
- Select "Settings" (it looks like a gear/cogwheel).
Navigate to Accounts:
- In the Settings window, select "Accounts."
Access Sign-in Options:
- In the left sidebar, click on "Sign-in options."
Remove PIN:
- Under the "Manage how you sign in to your device" section, you should see an option for "Windows Hello PIN."
- Click on "Remove" or "Change" and follow the on-screen instructions to either remove or change the PIN.
Verify Your Identity:
- You might be asked to enter your current PIN to confirm your identity.
Restart your computer:
- Once you have removed or changed the PIN, it's a good idea to restart your computer to apply the changes.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
