The keyboard may be stuck, I don’t know if cleaning the computer is effective.

USB keyboard, (not PS./2 right and not wireless with a dead battery inside the keyboard, right?)_

bad keyboard, the scan matrix inside is bad.

test the KBD on 2nd PC , SEE IT IS BAD just one simple step.

walmart has them in computer section bottom shelf cheap. $10 cheap. or even wireless if dead batteries are fun at a bad time.

NO warranty answers by me.

Tested keyboard on another computer, same result.

The keyboard was bought as a package deal from a HP vendor.

So the HP keyboard is 11 months of normal use, mainly email and googling, no heavy handed use..tested on another PC, same result..

Obviously faulty keyboard

So yeah went and bought a generic keyboard - works fine!
