hard disk test

HP Recommended
Pavilion All in One
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hard disk error prevents startup.  It won't do a HD Check -- says NOT INSTALLED.

I can't find the referred UEFI download on the website.

(Is it really not installed -- why not??? -- or just part of the disk problem?)

Where can I get the UEFI download to test the hard drive?

The PC is 2 years out of warranty.

Any help?
