the computer turns off before the screen cane come on and holding down the power will shut the computer off

Hi,

 

Tough to assist using the information you are providing. 

 

Please provide a product number. (Link) on finding the product number. Sorry about that, I missed the product number in the subject. Your PC is around nine years old. I would guess you have a hardware problem at this age.

 

A PC that turns on and off (the subject of your post) by itself usually indicates a power supply problem or a possible component short which is causing the power supply to cycle. Power supply protection circuitry will do this to protect the power supply and PC components if a fault condition is detected.

 

I am not sure if this is your problem because the above error usually requires disconnecting the PC from AC power to reset the power supply.

 

The PC shuts down so you can't test hardware. You can't run the operating system and you don't have video. The motherboard lacks a PCIe x16 slot so you can't even try a discrete graphics card.

 

I would suggest having a local PC tech take a look.
