z420
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hello

i cant active AHCI mode in my system " z420 " with samsung "870 evo" ssd model

At first i change the bios to AHCI mode only .. and then install new windows 10 "64bit"  and install Samsung Magician and show to me " AHCI MODE " is deactive ... then i check the registry and i see the " REGISTRY KEY " HKEY_Local_MACHINE > System> Current ControlSet > Services> msahci (=0), iaStorA (=0) and iaStorV (=0) ... as you can see its active in registry also ... but Samsung Magician show deactive

what can i do ...

thank you

Do you know what a manual is?

It provides all import information about SATA Ports and SAS Ports on that machine.

How can you have access to the registry key  when it is impossible to install windows without AHCI enabled?

The latest (13.01.2020) Intel SATA AHCI driver for that chipset is 6.3.0.1022
