Recently my very old computer shut down while I was playing video games, and when I tried to turn it back on, It said going into recovery mode then diagnosing my PC and then it said failed to recover your PC. and then it would say log files system 32 (shortened) but ive tried the command prompt and then ive tried the esc on startup to go into the start menu but that doesnt work and ive tried to fix it myself using F2 and F12 on startup to see if it does anything but nothing, anyone have any fixes or is my computer just fried? (Also I know im on windows 10 but since the computer was handed down to me i dont know which version. Also when i try to reset the pc entirely it always fails.

Hi @yahir5
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Sounds like you may have a component problem if a Windows OS reset fails. Disconnect all unnecessary peripherals for the time being.
Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:
Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.
Select "F2". Run system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem. Run extensive tests.
Let the Forum know how it goes.
