Hello,
During the installation of any Linux distribution on HP desktop, the secure boot pop up with error message "select boot image did not authenticate”. then , I have to disable the secure boot to complete the installation.
what can be the reason the secure boot block an Linux OS installation?

I guess it's pretty well explained here
Enable Secure Boot to block malware attacks, virus infections, and the use of non-trusted hardware or bootable CDs or DVDs that can harm the computer. You can also disable Secure Boot to use trusted but unrecognized hardware (such as older video cards) or to boot from an unrecognized recovery disc.
