Hi @clyde6402

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. After updating the BIOS on your HP OMEN 30L Desktop (GT13-0024), enabling Secure Boot is resulting in a Boot Device Not Found (3F0) error. This can occur if the boot configuration changes when Secure Boot is enabled.

Please follow the below steps.

  1. Restart the PC and press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
  2. Go to Storage > Boot Order and confirm that your Windows drive is detected.
  3. Verify that the system is set to UEFI Boot Mode and that Legacy Support is disabled.
  4. Under Secure Boot Configuration, load the factory default Secure Boot keys if that option is available.
  5. Save the changes and restart the computer.
  6. If the 3F0 error returns, disable Secure Boot again, boot into Windows, and confirm that the system drive is using the GPT partition style:
    • Press Windows + X > Disk Management
    • Right-click the Windows drive > Properties > Volumes
    • Check whether the Partition Style shows GUID Partition Table (GPT)

If the drive is using MBR instead of GPT, Secure Boot may not function correctly until the boot configuration is converted to a UEFI-compatible setup.

You can also run the HP Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Press F2 at startup and perform a Storage Test to confirm the drive is healthy.

If the issue continues, please let us know:

  • Does Windows boot normally when Secure Boot is disabled?
  • Is the SSD/HDD detected in BIOS Storage Information?
  • What is the current BIOS version installed on the OMEN 30L?

This information will help us guide you further.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
