I am posting my question here because i was not able to find how to reply to an existing post about "sp103785"
i downloaded sp103785 and it reads " download , open and follow instructions" but after accepting the agreement the next direction is to choose an app i wish to open with. I don't even know what its trying to open but i chose chrome and i get sent to a " bios flash update " page. I don't know what the next step is for me , if anyone cam take some time to explain to me please and thank you.
I have opened the exe several times and accepted agreement and keep getting to the Bios flash update page. Also i looked where a folder was created for sp103785 on my pc and saw other folders named "sp" one 80501 and another 144692. Im looking for the latest version for my 800 g1 sff that is currently at the 2017 version

Hi:
I assume you want to update the BIOS on your PC?
If so, this is the latest version--sp80501, so I have no idea what sp103785 is without you showing where you got it from.

If you have BIOS v02.71 installed, according to your PC's support page, that is the latest one that you referenced you currently have installed.
If you see a later BIOS update, it has probably been removed by HP for one reason or another.
If this is the discussion you are referring to and you want to risk updating the BIOS to v2.78...
Update to BIOS 2.77 - HP Support Community - 8576769
Here's how you do it. Here is the link to the exe file.
https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103785.exe
Get a USB flash drive. Format it with the FAT32 file system.
Download and run the 2.78 BIOS update file.
An info page is the first thing that will open and present you with the various methods to update the BIOS.
The easiest and safest way to update the BIOS, IMHO is to use the Startup Menu / F10 Setup BIOS Flashing method you see on the info page that opened.
What you do is to click on the blue View Contents of DOS Flash Folder and copy and paste all of the files you see in that folder to the USB flash drive you formatted.
After you have done that, restart the PC.
Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F10 setup option and press the enter key.
Go to the File tab>Flash System ROM command.
Select the USB flash drive.
The PC should 'see' the BIOS update file on the flash drive.
Follow the on-screen instructions to update the BIOS.
Hopefully, everything will work fine, because we will never know why HP removed BIOS v2.77 and 2.78 from the support page.
