HP OmniDesk Desktop PC M02-0000a (A9RU1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

turned off uefi and other bios tweaks resulted in no display, reset cmos, now still no display despite trying each stick in same slot I recall factory module having been, understand there may be keyboard combination such as windows b or windows v or hp specific but lit keyboard not lighting up suggesting not installing drivers and therefore question whether any keyboard input would be recognized

@marcu, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP OmniDesk Desktop PC M02-0000a is not displaying anything and the keyboard is unresponsive, it may be necessary to perform a few troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the issue.

Disconnect Power and Reset:

  • Unplug the AC adapter from the PC.
  • Remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes to ensure that the system BIOS fully resets.
  • Reinsert the CMOS battery, reconnect the power, and then turn the PC back on.

Check Connections:

  • Ensure all internal cables and connections are secure, particularly those related to the monitor and graphics card.
  • If possible, test with a different monitor or monitor cable to rule out display issues.

Minimum Configuration Test:

  • Remove all non-essential hardware components and peripherals, such as any additional RAM sticks or external devices.
  • Boot with only the essential components: one RAM stick, the CPU, and integrated graphics if available (disconnect any discrete GPU).

Keyboard Combinations:

  • Attempt to use a wired USB keyboard if available, as it may be more likely to be recognized during POST/BIOS without driver installation.
  • Try key combinations such as Windows + B or Windows + V during boot to recover BIOS defaults. These are sometimes used to trigger BIOS recovery.

Use HP Support Tools:

  • If none of the above steps work, use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to check if any hardware failures can be detected. This tool can run diagnostics without needing the operating system.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
