Glad you got the Q9650 to work, but unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for lowering the fan speed.

hi there it is not the p.s.u fan, its the one attached to the rear of the case, i was just  researchng through some archive posts found this one( regarding noisey fan  buton small form factor  dc5800.) also upgraded to Q9650, which you state is compatible .  Foxfaisal posted on  04-25-2017  5.49am, its rather long thread,
