Trying to start pc, I get message:  No Boot Disk detected or the disk has failed.  After running tests, I get the message: Connection test failed.  Error code 3F0.  Warning Drive not detected.  Is this telling me my hard drive is shot?  Any ideas?  This has happened before with this pc, a few times in fact but I always managed to bring it back.  Not this time.

@vogi, welcome to the forum.

This does mean that your hard drive has failed.  In the past, when you were able to get it to boot again, you were being warned that a failure was immiment.  You should replace the drive with one the same size or larger to assure that the HP Recovery media will work properly.
