Product: all-in-one-27-r0456qe (out of warranty)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I turn on the computer, I get a black screen with the message "monitor off" or "check hdmi-in cable".  I've tried many times, but don't know what is wrong.

@rainyd49 -- something is wrong with your computer. It is not starting-up, and thus is not sending any video signals to your monitor. So, your monitor is generating those error-messages.

 

If you do not have the technical skills to trouble-shoot your computer, either find a technophile friend who can help, or take your computer to a qualified computer technician.
