Microsoft Windows 11

Hiya, I have a HP Z230,  Ive tried swapping out my k2000 card for a 1050ti and my monitor is getting no signal.
I've bough 2 of the same card thinking the first was faulty but I get the same result so its almost certainly the motherboard / bios.
I have the latest bios firmware according to HP.

Is there anything I can do? Please help!

Hi:

For the purpose of experimentation, go into the BIOS and disable the secure boot setting and see if the card works that way.

Sometimes the secure boot function will prevent a PC from working if a video card was installed that was not included as optional equipment in the model series.

If it works with secure boot disabled, see if you can enable secure boot again with the card installed and have it continue to work.

I’ve seen disabling this stop people from being sake to enter the bios and I’ve seen it solve problems. I guess I could disable 1 of then and swap the card over to the enabled one of I have issues..

It looks like your PC's BIOS settings are fine so unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be.

Oh, should the motherboard accept the card then? I’ve read posts about the pci slot being rubbish and not allowing anything more powerful than what it was made for

I'm surprised it didn't work.

I can't find any slot wattage specs for the PC.

I could only find detailed specs for the SFF but no slot wattage.

I have a HP 8200 Elite CMT and the PCIe x16 slot is rated for up to 75W.

The SFF model of the 8200 Elite's PCIe x16 slot is rated for up to 35W, but I know for a fact the folks have installed 1050ti's in the SFF with no problem.

The SFF's come with 240W power supplies.
