Bios was successfully updated to 2.59 a while back.

I had been using a 10gb NIC over optical but had a need to hookup with standard cat5 and noticed the on-board NIC wasn't operational.  I went into the bios settings to see if there was anything obvious  and changes resulted in a no-post scenario:  fans start, light stays illuminated for 10 seconds or so then it shuts down, no beeps no blinks.

I enabled two items - one was TPM the other I thought was the NIC but I can't recall the exact field (bios menus are different than my z240s) so I'm thinking either TPM is the most likely culprit but ME/AMT could be at play too.

I've tried:

  1. disconnect power, remove all peripherals, press hold CMOS reset for several seconds, reinsert GPU only and power on - tried multiple GPUs
  2. disconnect power, remove GPU, remove CMOS battery for 1hr, press and hold CMOS reset for several seconds, reinsert GPU only and power on
  3. disconnect power, remove password jumper, power on
  4. disconnect power, remove ME/AMT Flash override, power on

-note, I'm not seeing documentation for ME/AMT Flash jumper nor BBR jumper

Any help would be greatly appreciated
