Hi:
What is the model of your HP Elite PC, and is it the CMT or SFF form factor?
My HP Elite is an 8200 CMT, and it was made in 2011, which would make it 10 years old.
I have an EVGA nVidia GT 1030 graphics card in mine.

the 8200 MICROTOWER unlike the SFF model has the ability to replace the stock HP power supply with a standard ATX power supply (like a name brand 650 watt unit) and then using a power adapter cable which allows the ATX supply to work with the 8200's non ATX power connector

https://www.amazon.com/650-watt-power-supply/s?k=650+watt+power+supply
doing this power supply mod will allow you to use just about any video card you want since the ATX supply will have the required GPU power connector that mid/high end cards require
(as long as the ATX supply wattage matches the video card wattage)

Sorry it took so long but i had forgot my password. My Computer is an (HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f PC with AMD Phenom II 945 Quad Core8 GB DDR3 - ATI Radeon HD 5450 Graphics Card Originally came with Windows 7) I Down Loaded 2 Steam Games and I am only able to access one of them on occasion but it runs real slow and choppy. the other i can only access the setup menu but will not load the game. so i would like to know if i can still buy a video card that will allow me to play those games without upgrading my power supply
thanks for your help

my personal recommendation is to replace the system with a newer used computer doing so will get you a faster cpu, most likely with more ram and the ability to use better/faster video cards
you can find systems like the HP z600 (look for a v2 motherboard)
or a dell T5810
if your in the us, look at this link

its depends on the usage but if expert opinion then for that game, the developer recommends Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD FX-8350, 16 GB RAM, and GeForce GTX 1060 with 3 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 480 with 4 GB VRAM.
