When you installed the 120mm heatsink. did you use the motherboard support bracket at the bottom? If you did, did you have to modify the case by removing  the oem cpu standoff supports? 

Because my mobo will not sit flush with the new bracket

Well its 4am and I decided to press on, i took care of the oem cpu standoff and now the mobo is sitting flush its coming together. once i get a 500w PSU i should be able to replace the 1650LP with an 3050 or 4060LP.

yes i did find the post, and I went back and forth it was 4am and I did find were he said oem standoff had to be modded, so far so good
