I have not been very successful getting new apps/programs installed on the D drive, so my C drive is pretty full. Even after uninstalling some of the larger programs, my 128GB SSD won't accept the Windows 11 update.
1. Can i update my PC's SSD capacity (replace or add to)?
2. Any suggestions on controlling moving data and non-OS programs to the D drive?
Thanks ahead of time. I'm not keen on the new PCs available, what with the continuation of the SSD/HDD setups and the loss of the optical drives. I'll make one more attempt to get this HP upgradeable.

Its specs
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-pavilion-595-p0084#techSpecs
It has 128 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD now. You can upgrade to 500GB or 1TB or 2TB such as https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-ssd-1tb-mz-v7s1t0bw/
My suggestion : You can simply clone old SSD to new SSD, no need to copy/move files around.. No need to re-install Windows. Please use
https://www.techrepublic.com/article/five-free-and-reliable-cloning-tools/
If you wish to manually move files from C: to 😧 you have to manually cut and paste files.
Regards.

I can't open the file referenced as AMS HP Pavilion 595-P0084 Datasheet, which I'm assuming would show me whether there are 2 slots for the SSD drive, which would be necessary for cloning or copying from the existing SSD to a new one.
Help please.

Your PC's specifications
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05999917
Your PC has the Lincs motherboard.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05991291
There is only one slot for an SSD. The other slot is reserved for the WLAN module.
From the specs sheet.
- One PCIe x16 socket
- One PCIe x1 socket
- One M.2 socket 1, 2230 type for WLAN
- One M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for SSD
You can use an external USB enclosure or an adapter for cloning the new M.2 SSD
https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=usb+m.2+adapters
Remember that the adapter must have support for the M.2 SSD type that you are using. Yours uses the PCIe NVMe M.2 specification. (reference is the specification sheet)
