2 M.2 SSD PCIE NVME sots

Seems to be a lot of confusion on this matter everywhere I look online so might as well ask here. There’s 2 M.2 slots in the HP M01-F0024. Does this mean I can add an additional M.2 SSD drive in that slot or is it ONLY for WLAN? I get conflicting answers One person said they added an SSD one said you can’t one said they added a 3.5 HD someone said they couldn’t possibly have. I just wanted to know if I can add an addition 1TB M.2 SSD PCIE NVME drive in the empty M.2 slot for added storage please. Thank you in advance for all your help in this matter!

Expansion slots

• One PCIe x16 socket
• One PCIe x1 socket
• One M.2 socket 1, key A -- This one is for a M.2 wifi adapter only.
• One M.2 socket 3, key M for SSD (PCIe x4)

You can install 1 M.2 SSD, not two.

Thank you very much, so would I be able to add any other drive in as a secondary drive? Or am I limited to just the one drive in this machine please?

Unfortunately, that I wouldn't know.

You'll have to open up the PC and see how many drive bays there are, and extra power connectors to add an additional SATA drive.

There is a DVD drive so hopefully, there are two SATA ports...one for the DVD and one for another hard drive.

Otherwise, you can buy a larger NVMe drive and use the cloud recovery tool to reinstall the OS, programs and drivers.

Again thank you. My last question I swear. The expansion  PCIe x16 slot that you mentioned earlier, couldn’t I virtually get an adapter for the M.2 that will fit the PCIe slot that’s open and just use as secondary hard drive? Sorry for so many question, it’s a new purchase and I didn’t really want to just buy a bigger SSD M.2 and transfer everything for my boot drive.

I've never done anything like that.

I've only used the x16 slot for adding video cards to it.

There are 2 physical 3.5" hard drive bays, as shown in this video.

In the video the original hard drive is shown (installed) and the empty bay is shown to the right as a flat tray.

just attach the M.2 to the adapter, then the adapter into the PCIeX16 slot?
