HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-0150xt CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Fellow HP ENVY owners, I would like to share an update (after a few hours with HP "chat", I spoke with Navin via telephone and he sleuthed out the answer to the "Subject", above, a question that several users had posted.

Years ago, USB 3.0 ports had blue internal plastic so that it was easy to distinguish them from the black plastic of USB 2.0 ports.

No more. Perhaps as punishment to those of us with aging eyes, there is now a tiny label above the port that shows the standard sideways mini-

tree symbol for USB and immediately to its left are the letters "SS".

I uploaded an image:

it is pretty easy to see, if you know where to look!

(No more blue plastic!!)

On my HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-0150xt, all four USB Type A ports on the front panel have this tiny label, as does the USB Type C port.

By process of elimination, this means that all four USB ports on the back panel are 2.0 Type A.

The User Guide makes the vague statement: "Your computer might have one or more of the listed types of USB ports."

Following that is information about the ports, but it does not explicitly state that the symbols on the left side of the table are actually printed or embossed on the panel above the port. Those of you with young eyes may have discerned this fact, already . . .

Anyway, FYI for All.
