@Vincent11111,

Yes, an RTX 2060 IS compatible with your Formosa motherboard, providing that you have it hooked up to a 500 watt or higher wattage PSU (https://www.nvidia.com/content/geforce-gtx/GEFORCE_RTX_2060_User_Guide.pdf) plus your power supply has an 8-pin PCI power connector, and that the card fits physically inside your desktop.

@Vincent11111,

Type in: system information in your Windows search bar, and left-click on the "System Information" App.

This is the information (in blue) I need to better assist you:

@Vincent11111,

All right, here's what I would recommend to upgrade your HP ENVY h8-1520eg Desktop:

Your Formosa motherboard is compatible with any standard 24-pin ATX power supply, provided it will physically fit inside your desktop.  An RTX 2060 requires at least a 500 watt power supply as per Nvidia, quote: "Minimum 500 W or greater system power supply with one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector" as referenced here: https://www.nvidia.com/content/geforce-gtx/GEFORCE_RTX_2060_User_Guide.pdf, which means that your current OEM HP 460 watt power supply (p/n: 633187-002) will need to go.

Here are a couple of (semi-) modular power supply examples via Amazon-Germany (I assume you live there):

1.) Corsair CX550M semi-modular power supply (€62.20): https://www.amazon.de/-/en/CP-9020102-EU-Corsair-PC-power-supply/dp/B019NWRUXK/ref=sr_1_4?crid=23IJV... with these dimensions (LxWxH): ‎140 x 150 x 86 mm.

2.) Cooler Master MWE 550 V2 fully modular power supply (55.71): https://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-Modular-Supply-Management/dp/B08BKQ4DG1/ref=sr_1_10_sspa?crid=3M... with the same dimensions as the Corsair PSU (LxWxH): 140 x 150 x 86 mm.

Granted, you can get much cheaper non-modular ATX power supplies.  However, the semi-/fully modular power supplies are much easier to work with because you can plug in just the power cables you need.  Whatever your preferences & budget may be, the point is to carefully measure the ATX power supply you want to buy and see if it will fit inside your desktop.

Hope this was helpful.

@Vincent11111,

And lest I forget, you may be required to make the following changes to your BIOS in order to make an RTX 2060 work on your desktop: (Please Note, I was unable to find all relevant system information for your specific HP desktop, so this information may or may not be applicable to you.  It was something that applied to one of my legacy HP desktop upgrade projects though, hence for me mentioning it):

1.) Enable 'Secure Boot' and 'Legacy Support' in BIOS.

And/or:

2.) To use Hyper-V, you must enable "Virtualization technology" in BIOS. Settings for the "Virtualization" technology are found in BIOS under "Security System" (Security system allows to change the settings of virtualization technology and data execution prevention. Data Execution Prevention helps to avoid operating system security breaches) as follows:

Use top and down arrow keys to move an item. Then press the right or left arrow button to change the setting. Press F10 to accept the changes or ESC to cancel and return to the previous menu without saving changes.

Again, these BIOS modifications may not be needed.

Kind Regards,
