@Les23 Which version of WOW did you install? And does your desktop support the system requirements of the game? Although, it seems like it does not fully support it, perhaps, you can include the system requirements or the version of the game and I'll check that out for you:
- The Burning Crusade,
- Wrath of the Lich King,
- Cataclysm,
- Mists of Pandaria,
- Warlords of Draenor,
- Legion,
- Battle for Azeroth.
Have you attempted to update the graphics card drivers and the BIOS? If not, click here to find and install the same.

I am having the same issue. Whenever I try to play the game it comes up with the same message. I am trying to play WoW Classic on my new HP Spectre x360 and have done so before in the past but now this issue comes up. I have updated all my drivers, and tried to run the game as administrator and I still have the same problem.

@Jeremy1991 This seems to be a known issue with the blizzard entertainment forum and you may want to check with the for further support, as this isn't an issue with the computer but the game itself, to make this easier for you, here's the link to their support forums with the same issue: click here
