Hi, seen a thread here stating that a gtx 1050 would fit in my 500-242ea system, I've already installed an extra 16gb ddr3 to bring to a total of 22gb, next I will be installing an ssd.

Just wondering would a gtx 1050ti also be compatible with my system? as I have access to one

Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

@xfydie,

Yes, your HP Pavilion 500-242ea (F6J99EA) can support a GTX 1050 Ti with your 300-watt power supply (https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-500-200-desktop-pc-series/5399647/model/6778059/doc...), but only barely: https://www.whatpsu.com/psu/gpu/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti. ("You need a power supply with at least 300W").

Hope this was helpful.
