595-p0084
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to upgrade my son's computer with new graphics card and hoping to find out if anyone knows of a 500w PSU that will work.

In another post, I had seen the suggestion for the L05757-800 but this seems to be associated with a number of machines with the Berks motherboard.

Anyone know if this will work with the Lincs motherboard, and if so, if it will fit in a 595-p0084.

So far, the only PSU upgrade I have seen someone confirm for the 595-p0084 is to the 310w L03980-800. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings Brap,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

This is a conundrum with the new HP PCs.

The best PSU upgrade at this time is a 400 watt SFF PSU, L04618-800. Maybe HP will provide a higher wattage PSU for this chassis down the road??

The 500 watt HP PSU, which works with this motherboard, L05757-800 will not fit in your chassis.

So the 400 watt HP PSU may not provide optimal performance, when stressed, if you are looking at a GPU upgrade card which requires a 500 watt or greater PSU.

Regards
