When I boot I am getting "511 CPU fan not detected."
Obviously, it appears there is a problem with the fan. So I will replace the fan if someone can tell me where I can get it and what fan I should get. It's the Pavillion-h151.
But even if I replace the fan I am concerned that will not solve the problem. Since the fan seems to work okay. I take it out and it spins smoothly. It's working right now, my core is only 20. So I suspect there is another problem. Anyone have any idea what else the problem could be or what else I might try.
I've heard it could be the sensor. FYI the computer is shutting down on me sometimes. And I downloaded a speedfan program that told me the other day the temperature never dropped after I played a game for awhile to check out fan's operation. So maybe it is working sometimes but not working others?
Anyone with info will be appreciated. Especially help in locating the fan I need.
