Hi all,

I have h8-1114 desktop and I put motherboard and hardrive into Antec 900 case. I got BIOS message "512-chassis fan not detected". From this point I have to use F1 to boot.  I know that rear fan is not connected any more to the moetherboard. Really I do not need that fan because Antec 900 has much better fan system. Antec fans are huge and not connected to motherboard.

I was trying to turn this BIOS message off in BIOS settings but it seems that there is no such option. What should I do to disable this message and boot without using F1? Thanks a lot if anyone knows.

ramburak,

Either connect the rear fan to the motherboard or use the optional left side mounting for the original fan. If you use the rear fan, be sure to set the fan to max speed.

Thank you. I think I will use 4 to 3-pin connector and connect rare fan to motherboard.

There is no way to disable it in my system (h8-1114) in BIOS. It is impossible. If your BIOS is the same, you can just buy fan with 3-pin connector. 2-pin will not solve your issue. This 3-pin fan is not expensive.
